Death by Wine and Chocolate – May 13

May 13, 2011 by Emily Greenwood

A great way to get over your triskaidekaphobia fear of Friday the 13th.

Join us at White Rabbit Studios Mad Hatter Gallery 406 Lincoln Street, Marlborough MA

6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

What’s your Chocolate Pleasure?

There will be something at Death by Wine and Chocolate, Friday 13th of May, to tempt everyone’s taste buds.  Would you like to try the spicy sweetness of Lindt’s Chili Dark Chocolate or their fruity option Black Currant?  One can never get enough of the melty centers of their delectable truffles.  Maybe you enjoy the soft bite into a piece of homemade fudge which immediately melts in your mouth.  Wayside Country Store is bringing their fudge along with their handmade chocolates for sampling.  Is White chocolate your favorite, have you tried it with Coconut and Cornflakes?  Hannaford will be bringing this along with other items from their Taste of Inspirations Belgian chocolate line.  We will also have organic fairly traded chocolate.  Equal Exchange is offering Dark chocolate with toffee bits and sea salt, a decadent combination of salty and sweet.  Everything at Chloe Bistro in Hudson is delicious so I know that everything they bring will be amazing, they are keeping it a surprise.  Assabet Regional Vocational School is baking yummy mini éclairs.  These are just a few of the scrumptious selections that evening.  There will also be a variety of wines to sample provided through Monti’s Mini Mart.  Coral Seafood, soon to be re-named Fish, will be offering an array of cheeses to accompany the wines as well.  Hopefully this has tantalized your appetite and we will see you at the Mad Hatter Gallery in Marlborough, MA!

We would like to thank all of our vendors…

Looking to be inspired, try Rotary

October 20, 2010 by Emily Greenwood

This Thursday if your looking for inspiration, look no further than your Marlborough Rotary club. Polio has been a challenge for Rotary for years. Humans erradicated small pox and one man in 1985 took on the challenge to wipe polio from the face of the earth.  This is a disease that lives with someone for their entire life. Be inspired to do the impossible!

NEADS.org brings Canines for Combat Veterans program to Rotary

October 11, 2010 by Emily Greenwood

Last Thursday the Marlborough Rotary club was visited by the NEADS (Assistance Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans).  Christina Rossetti visited the club with four dogs who are in the process of being trained to help combat veterans, disabled Americans and the deaf. The program places specially screened dogs within the prison system to be trained by inmates for a period of time.  On weekends the dogs go home with weekend families to get more socialized training.  After a rigourous training program and repeat screenings the dogs are placed with the person whose need is best fit by the dog.
