Electronics Recycling 2013
We Want Your Junk

Marlborough Rotary Club is having our Electronics Recycling, Saturday April 27th at the Marlborough High School from 9-3 p.m.  $30.00 per car load.  Get rid of your electronics and metal and have it go to Marlborough Rotary club charities.  This is also the same day the City of Marlborough has their hazardous waste day so a great time to clean things out.

Download the flyer below and see your local Rotarian if you have any questions.

Thank you!

2013 Scholarship Application Available

February 5, 2013 by Emily Greenwood

Each year the Marlborough Rotary Club is pleased to award scholarships to several area high school seniors to further their educations at institutions of higher learning.

The club awards these scholarships to Marlborough residents graduating from Marlborough High School, Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School (AVRTHS), and students who reside in Marlborough but attend another area secondary school.

Each candidate must be a senior graduating from high school in good standing and be accepted to a two- or four-year college.

In addition, the club awards a $250 grant to an AVRTHS graduate in vocational studies to use to buy the tools of his/her trade.

Applications must be completed and submitted by March 31.

Applications are available from the students’ respective high schools, directly from the Marlborough Rotary Club, P.O. Box 186, Marlborough, MA 01752, or through any Marlborough Rotarian.

“Serving New Generations is one of the major areas of focus for Rotary International.

Serving the youth of our community is a major component of the Marlborough Rotary Club’s service, and education is the keystone for the future of our young people” noted club president, Bonnie Doolin.

“Supporting our young people is in the best tradition of Rotary’s motto, ‘Service above Self’’.”

The Marlborough Rotary Club, which has been assisting the youth, charities and service agencies of the community since 1922, welcomes service-minded men and women for membership.  For more information, contact any Marlborough Rotarian or call 508-509-6643.

Raising awareness about the effort to end polio in the world
Marlborough Rotaract with the help of Marlborough Savings Bank and Marlborough Rotary Club helping with the end polio effort

Marlborough Rotaract Club kicked off Purple Pinky Day early today with the help of Marlborough Savings Bank and the Marlborough Rotary club.  The effort to end polio began in 1985 and today we are only three countries away from the successful eradication of this disease.  Today Marlborough Rotaract helped to get 240 vaccinations closer.  Thank you to Caitlin D’Alessio, Christen Caragian, Kaissa Lamore, Matt Ryll and Monthe Kofos for volunteering today.

Marlborough Rotaract meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at Marshall Insurance Agency.  For more information about the effort to end polio visit www.endpolio.org
